The NFB Scholarship Program awards thirty $10,000 scholarships each year to legally blind students residing in the U.S., D.C., or Puerto Rico who are pursuing or planning full-time postsecondary study, judged on academic excellence, community service, and leadership. Finalists are announced in spring and must attend the NFB's national convention in July, where winners are selected; up to five scholarships may go to part-time students who meet all other requirements.

American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD)
Award, generally $1,000, for undergraduate sophomores and above with disabilities, with preference for studies in public health, disability studies, or related fields.
